London Baby!

Last month we got to go on a trip of a lifetime across the pond to "Jolly old England". It was amazing! We spent the first five days of our trip exploring London and soaking up as much history as we could. Then to make the trip even better we took a train to Manchester so we could visit Nana and Bompa on their mission and spend Christmas with them. It was seriously like a dream! I hope the kids are able to keep these wonderful memories with them as they grow. I know for me it is a trip that I will never forget!

The first day we got there at like 8:00 am after being up for over 24 hours. Our hotel wouldn't let us check in early without paying an extras days worth so we walked around in a zombie like state as long as we could. We were able to find "Abbey Road" and check that out while we were waiting to get into our hotel and rest. Finally at noonish the owner took pity on us and let us into our room. The jet lag was so hard that first day. I think most of us were asleep by 6pm. Luckily, we adjusted pretty quickly and were able to function within a day or two.

Nixon is a huge Beatles fan and had fun with all the Beatles sites we found.

He also really likes Coldplay. "Violet Hill" is a name of one of their songs

After catching up on some rest we headed out the next day to see some sights. We started with the Tower of London, and then did lots of walking around. We also checked out a little bit of St Pauls Cathedral, and went to the Tate Modern Museum. It is such a cool city!
