Charleston

From North Carolina we drove east and made our way to Charleston South Carolina. Charleston was lovely! It had the most charming old homes and we had so much fun touring and driving around the city looking at them. We also got to stop and see the Angel Oak Tree. It was crazy! The shape of it was so unique and it was such a cool place to visit. While we were in Charleston we also visited the Magnolia Plantation and learned about how life would’ve been on a plantation before and after the Civil War. We also learned about the slaves that worked there and some of what they would’ve gone through. It was really eye opening and a very interesting place to visit. 

One of the nights we were there we went out for seafood and let the kids try oysters for the first time (yuck!) it was pretty entertaining!
