Our little man just couldn't wait to join our family, so he decided to come early (3 1/2 weeks to be exact). It caught me off guard when I woke up in labor on the 27th of April, but shocked or not this baby boy was coming. This was by far my most painful labor, but it was also my quickest and easiest to recover from (probably because he was so small). Unfortunately having him arrive so early sent us back to a place that we would've loved to never have to see again.....the NICU. Boston spent 5 days in there when she was born, but Finley had to top that, he got to stay for a week. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful doctors and nurses that took care of him, but coming home from the hospital without your baby is incredibly hard to do. We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends to help us get through that crazy week. Thankfully, he showed everyone who was boss and learned how to eat like a champ so he could come home! He is still on oxygen, but hopefully that wont be for much longer. We are so happy to have him home with us! We love this little boy so much!!
This was the only way the kids could see him at first :( |
Finally, the next day they were able to get a little closer |
This pic shows how excited Nixon is about the new baby.....he is slowly coming around though :) |
Boston however, is in love with him, and he's the perfect size for her little arms! |
Jenny! Congratulations! I was so shocked to see that you'd already had him! What a great surprise. I am so glad all is well, and so glad you made it through that week. That must have been so hard and emotional. He is absolutely adorable and perfect! What a sweet little guy. And you look amazing too! I hope you are getting a little sleep and lots of baby cuddles! :) I am soooo happy for you!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I LOVE his name!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! He has already proven his will & determination...not you just have to match it!
