Savannah

We wrapped up our trip in Savannah Georgia before driving back to Atlanta to fly home. Savannah had a lot of cool old homes as well, although it had more of a colonial feel to me than Charleston. It was super hot there, but we got to tour the city and see a bunch of cool buildings and see the location of where the “Forrest Gump bench” used to be.  We also got to go on a walking ghost tour and hear stories about different buildings and cemeteries in the city that are supposedly haunted. It was family friendly and not overly scary, but Finn couldn’t have been happier. He loves “creepy” things and he loved every minute of it.

Hilton Head

After Charleston we headed to Hilton Head Island for some beach time and relaxing. This was the leg of the trip I was most looking forward to, unfortunately the first day we were there it rained all day. The boys didn’t mind too much though and still spent about 5 hours at the pool and Jordan and I were lucky enough to get a walk on the beach between storms. Things didn’t look too great ahead of time for our second day there either, but we lucked out and it turned out gorgeous! We spent the whole day going back and forth between the beach and the resort and enjoying time in the water and followed it up with a great bbq dinner and Boston got a wrapped braid in her hair. Hilton head was beautiful and I just loved it there. I am a big fan of beach resort life!
