Celebrating Nixon

This past weekend we spent celebrating Mr. Nixon. Friday night we hosted a party at "Nicklemania" for some of his friends. Including Boston and Nixon we had 15 kids there! It was a little crazy, but we kept track of everyone and Nixon had a great time. Then, Sunday night we had family over for dessert and some more celebrating. Finally on Monday (his actual birthday) we went out to dinner and watched the "Empire Strikes Back". It was a fun weekend for all of us and I'm pretty sure the Birthday Boy had a fantastic time too.

Nixon is six!

Happy Birthday to this handsome six year old! When I tucked him in last night I told him he had to stay five...he didn't listen! We sure do love this smart, spunky little sweetheart!!!

Disneyland 2016

We just got back from a HOT, exhausting, and wonderful week at Disneyland. It is always a favorite destination for our family and this time was no different. This was Finleys first visit to the "Happiest Place on Earth" and his excitement made it that much more special for the rest of us. 

Finley loved meeting all of the characters and riding on "Small World"... I'm not even sure how many times I took him on that ride, but his happiness made each time worth it.

Nixon got to train to become a "True Jedi" and we caught him several times trying to use "the force" around the park. He was thrilled to meet all of the "Star Wars" characters, and had a great time going on rides too (he was a lot less scared this year). His favorites were "Star Tours" and "The Matterhorn". 

Boston's favorite things were seeing the "Frozen"play (it was awesome!) and going on all the rides. She has now officially conquered all of the rides Disneyland has to offer including "Tower of Terror" and "California Screaming". She loved them! She is quite the brave little lady, and so much fun to ride with. 

For Jordan and I enjoying the park with our kids and seeing them have a great time was the best part. It was a magical week and we can't wait until next time!
