A day at the farm

Although Nixon had no idea that is was his birthday I felt that we needed to do something fun, so Boston, Nana, and I took him to the Farm/Petting Zoo at Thanksgiving Point.  Nixon looooves to see animals, and he was not afraid to get close to them.  I think he ended up having a great day!

This is how he says "one"

He wasn't afraid to touch the animals

Boston needed a little help at first :)

We went for a tractor ride

Maybe he's old enough to start wearing shoes :)
 A carriage ride
 And a pony ride
A trip to Thanksgiving Point is NEVER complete without icecream (he may have even had 2 cones)

Nixons first birthday party

We had Nixons birthday party a day early on Conference Sunday so that it would be easier for more of our family to make it.  We had such a great turn out, so many came to help us celebrate our sweet little boy.  We are so blessed to have such great family!  Here is some of the fun we had:

We had to have a little pre-party photo shoot :)

My silly little one year old :)

I love that they love eachother

This cutie felt a little left out with all of the attention on Nixon

Not a very good pic, but the best one I got of the decor

Grandpa, Mally, Lauren, and Grandma

Curtis and his new fiance Collette

We were so excited to have Great Grandpa and Grandma come, it was the first time they made the trek to our house!

Nixon with all four of his grandparents, I think he had them pretty entertained :)

What a silly girl......

.....She must get it from her Bumpa

Opening presents

Practicing golf with his "big boy" golf clubs

 And finally......the CAKE

He didn't want to share :)

I think he liked it!!!

We love our great big one year old boy!!!!

He's ONE!!!

How did it happen???  My little man turns one year old today!  It feels like no time has passed since I was laying in the hospital watching General Conference waiting to meet my sweet baby boy.  Nixon has brought so much joy into our family in the last year.  He is such a happy, smart, sweet, easy going, wonderful little guy.  Baby boy we love you soooooo much!!!

Tough guy

I had another "bad mom" moment yesterday.  It was my turn to teach Bostons preschool yesterday, and when it got over I needed to help take something out to one of the other moms cars.  So I put Nixon in the house with some toys, but since the little ladies were leaving the door kept getting opened and Nixon tried to make a run for it.  He ended up meeting our doormat with his face!  Poor little guy looks like he got into a fight :(  I feel so bad!

Cupcakes

My Boppy loooves to make treats. Unfortunately, baking really isn't my specialty, but on Sunday afternoons we usually throw something together. It's fun to spend some time in the kitchen with the little lady. Today we made cupcakes :)

Obviously her favorite part is licking the batter

Nixon did a great job testing the cupcakes, he was practicing for his upcoming birthday :)

Peach Days

We had another great time at Peach Days this year!  We had a blast going on rides, eating at our annual Peach Days breakfast, going to the parade, playing on the huge bounce house in the backyard (thanks Uncle Bob), and just being with family.  SO much fun!!!

So Cute!

This was Bostons first time on a rollercoaster.  When she got off we all waited to ask her if she liked it, and she said "It made my snot come out....but I just pushed it back in."  Ha ha,  I guess that meant that she liked it :)

Nixon wasn't so sure about the rides

This little lady loved the ferris wheel, she is a whole lot braver than her parents!

Boston, Ana, and Miley at the parade

Oh, how I love her!

These two got a little worn out from all of the fun :)
