A couple of years ago we went up the canyon and cooked hobo dinners with the Walkers. This is one of my kids favorite memories and we were so excited when Nana and Bompa invited us to go back and do it again a couple of weeks ago. We are not a family that camps so gathering around a camp fire is not something the kids are used to doing, but they love it each time and had so much fun exploring outside of their comfort zone. Hopefully we will be able to make this a new yearly tradition.
This year was Nixons year to have a friend party to celebrate his birthday. I couldn't handle the thought of having a bunch of 4th grade boys over to the house so we took them to play and Hang Time trampoline park the night before his birthday instead. They were able to be as wild and crazy as they wanted, and had a great time. Nixon has a lot of friends and always wants to include everyone. We are so glad they could join us in celebrating his birthday. On his actual birthday we celebrated by watching General Conference, he got to go bowling and to lunch with grandpa, we went out for sushi for dinner, and then played video games together as a family to end the night. Its always fun to celebrate this great kid!
Happy Birthday to this handsome 10 year old! I feel like we were just celebrating his first birthday not too long ago. This boy adds so much sweet and spice to our lives. We are so lucky he's ours! We love you Mr. Nixon!!
