Liverpool

The next day Nana and Bompa took us to Liverpool to check out where the saints from England sailed off to come to America and to see a bunch of Beatles sites. It was so much fun! We started by leaving a padlock on the railing to "lock up our love" and then went to The Liverpool museum and saw the statue of the Beatles. After that we went to the Cavern Club pub where the Beatles used to play and were able to sit and listen to some live music for a while. It was so cool! This was Nixons favorite day of the trip, but all of us really enjoyed it. We also stopped for a quick pic with the "Eleanor Rigby" statue. We loved going to Liverpool!

Manchester

Finally the day came that we got to see Nana and Bompa! Everyone agreed that their favorite part of the trip was getting off of the train and seeing them waiting for us after not seeing them for so many months. It was such a good feeling! They took us out to an amazing restaurant that night and we continued to celebrate Bostons birthday and just enjoyed being together again!

Bostons 12th Birthday!

Boston turned 12 while we were in London. It was definitely a different birthday for her and she was a really great sport about it. To celebrate her bday went to the British Museum during the day and then went to get Sushi for dinner and to see "Mary Poppins" in the theater district. She loves going to shows and it was the perfect one considering we were in England. Boston is such a sweet girl and we had so much fun celebrating her birthday with her. Hopefully it was a pretty memorable one.

Shrek and the London Eye

After a couple of days exploring we could tell that the kids were starting to get a little bored with the museums, and since those were Jordans favorite part we decided to split up for a couple of hours so he could check out the National Gallery by himself.  While Jordan was gone, the kids and I went on "Shreks Adventure" and took a ride on the "London Eye". While we were in the middle of our adventure with Shrek the building it was in had a fire alarm and they had to pull us through all the behind the scenes and evacuate us for a half an hour or so. It was interesting, but everything ended up being fine and the kids had a lot of fun.

Little did I know that after we went back in to finish up with Shrek my phone stopped working and Jordan couldn't get ahold of us. He tried frantically to call us and ended up running over from the museum and all around that part of the city trying to find us for an hour and a half while we unknowingly took a ride on the London Eye and had lunch. He was so relieved when I finally got my phone to work and found him, and I felt so bad for all he had gone through. It made the day pretty interesting. After all that we stuck together and went and checked out Westiminster Abbey (it was closed so we couldn't go in) and went to an old toy museum/shop that was pretty neat.
