Celebrating Nixons Bday

This year for Nixons bday we had family over the night before to help us celebrate the big day. Then on his Birthday he got donuts and presents in bed, and after school we took him and his friend Tyler to see the "Lego Ninjago" movie and then to dinner at Tsunami. He also got to be checked out of school two days in a row to go to a bday lunch. Once with Dad and once with Mom. He is the "Star Student" at school this week as well, so its safe to say there has been a lot of Nixon celebrating going on. We sure do love this 7 year old!

7 years old!

This handsome little man is 7 years old today! I wish I could slow down time. Our lives would be so boring without Nixon in them. We are so blessed to have him in our family! Happy Birthday Buddy!

The End of Our Summer

The end of August/ the end of summer was a busy time like always. We had our "back to school dates", celebrated 12 years of marriage, I turned another year older, we watched the Eclipse, played with friends, the kids started school, and we spent Labor Day at the pool one last time. It was a great month and even though its still stinkin hot outside we are looking forward to fall and all the fun traditions that come with it!

Back to School

I cannot believe school is already back in session. This summer went so fast! This year we have a 4th grader and a 1st grader and a sweet little three year old who gets to stay home all day with Mom. It sure is different not having Nixon around during the day, but both kids are liking school and that makes us all happy! I can't wait to see what great things they will learn this year!
