I don't know why, but lately every time I tell Nixon "it's time to get dressed" he throws a major fit. In fact, sometimes he gets so mad that he takes everything off and runs through the house, just to show me who's in charge. Today he was hiding from me so I couldn't make him put clothes on, and this is where I found him. This kid is always full of surprises!

A BFF Sleepover
A couple days ago Boston had her first "friend" sleepover. I am usually really against her having sleepovers (other than at Grandparents), but I gave in since it was our next door neighbor and it was at our house (I know I'm over protective, but I don't care). They had a lot of fun, but they stayed up way too late giggling (which I expected) and then they were up at 5:45 am! That was way too early for me since my kids usually sleep in until around 9:00. We probably aren't going to make this a regular thing, but I'm glad the little ladies had fun. I'm glad Boston has such good friends!
Memorial Day
For Memorial Day we took our annual trip to the cemetaries to give some love to Jordans grandparents, and he told us his favorite story about each of them :) Then we went to his parents house for a bbq and lots of sunshine. The kids loved riding around the yard on their new toy, and then Bumpa took us for a ride in the back of his truck. We had a fun fun day!

A Big Birthday
Someone at our house turned the big 3-0 this past weekend, and it wasn't me :).......yet (Nixon keeps saying I am 26, so I will just stick with that). We had a surprise party/dinner with family for Jordan at Macaroni Grill, but a few hours before we were supposed to be there he came down with the flu :( Still, he was a good sport and sat there while the rest of us ate. We love our Birthday Boy!

Stay Classy San Diego
The past few day I was lucky enough to join Jordan on a trip to San Diego for a work conference. It was the first time I have ever left the kids, so I was really nervous, but thanks to our wonderful parents they were well taken care of and they had a great time. It was so nice to get away for a few days just the two of us. We had so much fun together, I sure do love him!!!
We loved the beach, especially Coronado Island |
This was the view from our hotel room, I loved laying out by this awesome pool! |
We went to a Mexican restaurant in "Old Town" that Jordan went to when he camet to San Diego with the junior high. He was really excited to be back! |
We also checked out the "Mormon Battalion" visitors center, it was Awesome! Jordan even got to dress up like he was a soldier. |
We went to a Padres game |
I thought this Statue was really sweet :) |
We went to a restaurant called "HoDads" that was featured on DDD's. The burgers were gigantic and it was great food! |
Book Worm
I know I have mentioned before that Nixon loves books, but lately that love has gotten even stronger. He doesn't even need toys anymore as long as he has books. He loves them so much he even sleeps with them......silly kid!
A Preschool Graduate
This past school year has gone by so fast! I cannot believe how much Boston has grown. It makes me sad to think that in a few short months she will be in Kindergarten......but, we are so proud of the smart and amazing girl that she is. She had such a great teacher (Miss Kristie) and made a lot of new friends. At her graduation she won the "Star Singer" award because whenever her teacher needed someone to sing the songs loud and help the class she could always count on Boston. (I was surprised by this because of how shy she can be) We love to hear her sing too! She is an amazing little lady!
